The short answer
The official achievement list confirms that Star of Akiba and Legend of Akiba are different achievements, but it does not publish their conditions. The strongest current community answer for Legend of Akiba says to complete every available competition device and beat the target shown for each event; the same discussion says competition devices can be repeated.
Use that as a practical checklist, not as an official formula. No reviewed source supports one universal hidden time, an exact public device count, or the claim that assembling any four parts is enough for Legend.
Step by step
1. Unlock the Akiba competition normally
Continue the story and character jobs until the championship mail and software become available. Install the competition software and complete the ordinary story event first.
If your actual goal is the Robodog license, follow the Robodog and championship route. Legend is a broader achievement question and is not proven to be required for that license.
2. Keep Star and Legend separate
| Goal | What current evidence supports | What remains unpublished |
|---|---|---|
| Star of Akiba | Tied to the ordinary Akiba championship progression in current walkthrough evidence | The official achievement page does not state the exact trigger |
| Legend of Akiba | Community answer says to complete every available competition device and meet each displayed target | Exact device count, one universal time, and internal tracking rules |
If Star has unlocked but Legend has not, do not replay only the story championship. Move to a per-device checklist.
3. Build a device checklist from your live competition app
List every device currently shown in your competition interface. For each one, record:
- device name;
- whether you finished the assembly;
- whether the result met the target shown by that event;
- whether the result screen completed normally;
- whether you replayed it after installing the newest patch.
The live app is a safer source for the available device list than an old fixed count because story state and patches can change what is visible.
4. Replay incomplete or uncertain results
The current discussion says competition devices can be repeated. Replay entries where the assembly completed but the target result was unclear, then let the result sequence finish before returning to the shop.
Do not assume that opening the device, placing a few parts, or finishing outside the displayed target counts as a successful event.
5. Check the current patch boundary
Version 1.0.009r officially fixed inventory being unavailable during the competition. Version 1.0.010r is the current checked build. Update and relaunch before repeating a competition workaround written for the launch version.
If the box, inventory, result, or postgame competition state is still blocked on v1.0.010r, preserve the exact screen and save. A current bug report documents a postgame competition-box problem, but it does not establish a universal fix.
6. Diagnose a missing achievement
| What you see | Next check |
|---|---|
| Competition not unlocked | Finish story jobs, open mail, and install the software |
| Star unlocked, Legend locked | Audit every visible device and its displayed target |
| One device has an uncertain result | Replay it and let the result screen finish |
| Inventory is missing | Confirm v1.0.010r; the older inventory bug was fixed in v1.0.009r |
| Every visible entry is complete, achievement still locked | Back up the save and report the checklist plus version |
What not to assume
- Star of Akiba and Legend of Akiba do not have the same documented trigger.
- Legend is not proven to require “any four parts.”
- No reviewed source publishes a universal hidden completion time.
- A fixed device count copied from another save is not stronger than your live competition list.
- A current postgame bug report does not prove every missing achievement is bugged.
- Repeating every event without recording results makes the missing condition harder to identify.
